MUSIC THERAPY
SMVF PROGRAM
BEATS by VETS is a Music Therapy program designed for SMVF to earn a AVID ProTools Audio Engineering Accredited Certification for FREE. This hybrid program incorporates Group & Private Counseling Sessions curated to assist mental health enrichment for participants working through PTSD, Anxiety, Substance Abuse and Trauma.

BEATS by VETS is multi-component Music Technology Program that provides hands-on learning through accredited curriculum based classes in Music Production & Technology with a focus on Audio Engineering.
Participants Learn & Earn:
AVID ProTools Software + Accredited Certification
Frequencies, Sound Design, BPMs and how they communicate to Theory
Song Structure & Composition
Fundamentals of Recording Sound / Music
Principles of Audio / Sound Engineering

Join like-minded SMVF teammates in Group Counseling Sessions once a week. Addressing Disparities in the SMVF Community by providing Mental Health Recovery & Suicide Education & Trauma Care.

Cost for Approved Participants = FREE to SMVF ONLY

Proof of SMVF Status Required
All applicants must provide proof of SMVF (Service Members, Veterans, and Families)
status. Documentation will be required and must be submitted upon acceptance
into the program to confirm eligibility.
Acceptable forms of proof include:

DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge)

Veteran ID Card (VIC)

State-issued driver’s license with Veteran designation
